SLA Scholarship

Since 2018, the Sage Lake Association has awarded two scholarships to a graduating high school senior — one each from Hale High School and Ogemaw Heights High School. The current scholarship award is $1,000 per recipient.

Applicants must intend to pursue postsecondary education or training, with preference given to those enrolled in skilled trades programs.

The selection of recipients will be based on:
  • A strong commitment to attain a postsecondary educational or training goal.
  • Acceptance by a skilled trade certification program, trade school, or postsecondary academic institution such as a two- or four-year college or university.
  • A personal statement that includes a description of the educational and career goals you hope to achieve.
  • Demonstration of involvement in community service.

This is a one-time scholarship award that is not renewable for additional years.
