Donations fund the two annual $500 scholarships. The SLA awards scholarships to two graduating seniors in our lake community, one senior each from Hale High School and Ogemaw Heights High School.
Donations pay for fish stocking, fishing tournament payouts and expenses, habitat improvement programs, and education and outreach efforts.
Donations pay for neighborhood watch signage, funds to cover gas used while on watch patrol, meeting expenses, boating safety classes, and community safety-related expenses.
Donations will be used for Sage Lake ecosystem-related expenses and can include surveys, water quality reports, and education-related expenses. This fund does not pay for weed treatment which is a tax assessment.
Donations pay for the July Fourth fireworks display each year.
Donations are used to pay for SLA administration costs, insurance, meeting expenses, and event expenses.
In 2024, the Sage Lake Association established Mary Ellen's Fun Day Fund, supporting an event that was close to her heart. Contributions to the fund will help the event continue to serve the lake's youngest fans with an afternoon carnival on the second Saturday of each July.
